Imad Al-Sukkari (Operations Manager) has extensive knowledge on the political and social dynamics in the Middle East. Mr. Al-Sukkari recently completed his Master of Arts in International Relations specializing in diaspora relations in North America more specifically the Arab diaspora. Al-Sukkari has experience working for the Parliament of Canada advising a number of MPs on issues pertaining to the Arab politics. In addition, he was the founder of the Carleton International Relations Society and was an active writer and editor at the Charlatan newspaper, Carleton University’s Campus Newspaper. Mr. Al-Sukkari served on a number of executive academic committees most recently the McMaster University Planning and Budge Committees as the graduate representative. Being born and raised in the Middle East gives Mr. Al-Sukkari a robust understanding of issues impacting the Arab street. He is also fluent in English and Arabic. Prior to being named to his current position, Mr. Al-Sukkari held the positions of treasurer and board member for NCCAR.

Diane is a recently graduated student from the University of Ottawa with a Bachelor’s degree in International Studies and Modern Languages. With a passion for International Relations in the Arab World and Latin America, Diane is looking to pursue a Master’s Degree in Comparative Politics in the Middle East after gaining some valuable experience with NCCAR and other organizations in the field. Born to refugees of the Lebanese Civil War, Diane spent the summer of 2011 in Lebanon and volunteered at the United Nation’s Second Meeting of States Parties to the Convention on Cluster Munitions, a cause she holds dear to her.

Diane speaks four languages fluently, comprising of English, French, Arabic and Spanish. She hopes to promote awareness and to one day witness – or be part of - a change in the way the West views the Arab World and all other formerly colonized regions.
