Coverage in Print Media

November 23rd 2011, Dr. Bessma Momani published an Op-Ed in Embassy Magazine and Huffington Post discussing trade relations and opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa region. Dr. Momani participated at the conference as a panelist in the ‘Root Causes of the Revolution’ panel. To read her article click here.

December 3rd 2011, accomplished Middle East expert and Toronto Star journalist Haroon Siddiqui published an editorial examining the current Canadian government policies toward the Arab world. In the article, Siddiqui mentioned a few points  that were presented by former Canadian Ambassador to the UN Paul Heinbecker to the audience of our recent National Conference.

December 5th 2011, the Canadian Charger an E-weekly Magazine published an article highlighting the main accomplishments of the Conference including views of our Gala Dinner keynote speaker Dr. Clovis Maksoud and various people who attended the Conference.

Coverage in Arabic Print Media

November 29th 2011, Arabic Newspaper Sada Al-Mashraq published an article highlighting the main accomplishments of the Conference. In the article (which can be located on page 12), Lead Conference Organizer Imad Al-Sukkari offered a number of comments on the planning leading up to the Conference.

NCCAR President David Comerford and Committee Organizer Tania Jordan were interviewed by Dr. Qais Ghanem on CHIN Radio where the topic of discussion was the National Conference and what it brings to the political discourse in Canada’s foreign policy.  Click here to listen to the whole podcast.

November 25th 2011, NCCAR President and Conference Committee Chair David Comerford was interviewed at the popular morning CBC-Radio Canada show Bernie et Cie. Mr. Comerford talked about Canada-Arab Relations and the upcoming Conference.
