NCCAR Condemns
Escalating Violence in Iraq
Ottawa, September 15,
2005 –
The National Council on Canada-Arab Relations (NCCAR)
condemns the escalating violence against innocent Iraqi people, in
particular the barbaric attacks that took place yesterday in Baghdad.
“We call
on all governments and people to reject the escalating violence in Iraq and
condemn calls from fanatics intent on sparking hatred and further
destruction,” said NCCAR President Hussein Amery. “These latest attacks are
nothing more than mass murder and serve as a reminder that these killers are
only concerned with the destruction of Iraqi society.”
NCCAR
calls on Canada to increase its humanitarian efforts to help Iraqis in their
time of need.
