The National Council on Canada-Arab Relations
20th Anniversary Dinner

Tuesday January 31st 2006, 6:00pm
Crowne Plaza Hotel
101 Lyon Street
Ottawa, Ontario

The National Council on Canada–Arab Relations (NCCAR) is pleased to announce that this year we are celebrating our 20th Anniversary.  In order to help us mark this very special occasion we would like to invite you to attend our celebratory dinner in Ottawa on January 31st 2006.

Helping us celebrate this occasion, we will have several speakers from the political and the diplomatic communities.

The keynote speaker for the dinner will be Mr. Dwain Lingenfelter, VP Government Relations of Nexen Inc. and Chairman of the Canada Arab Business Council (CABC). In addition, the Hon. Joseph Fontana will be receiving a Lifetime Achievement Award for advancing Canada-Arab relations. The dinner will be attended by Arab ambassadors, Ministers, Senators, Members of the House of Commons and a large number of business organizations with interests in the region as well as members from the community. This event will represent a unique opportunity to discuss politics, trade and other issues.

Since 1985, the National Council on Canada–Arab Relations has provided a strong link between Canada and Arab countries.

The National Council has consistently worked to promote and increase Canadian awareness and knowledge of the Arab world, and to encourage the expansion of commercial, scientific, educational, and cultural links between Canadian and Arab institutions. Our organization has been given the opportunity to represent Canada in a G8 conference on development in the Middle East, meet with the Prime Minister, lead delegations overseas, and host international dignitaries in Canada.

The National Council is a charitable organization and therefore a portion of the cost of your ticket is tax deductible.

This reception and dinner will be the ideal time to liaise with a number of key individuals.  We look forward to seeing you there!
