Ignatieff’s Director of Political Operations (Quebec) on June 11th, 2009. In it, discussions of an on-going relationship between NCCAR and M. ·         On June 11, 2009, Samah Sabawi participated in a round table discussion in Ottawa, as part of the Canadian Museum for Human Rights’ content and story gathering tour across Canada.   Amongst other things, Ms. Sabawi spoke about the many Palestinian refugees whose journey began with the Nakba - the destruction of their world, and highlighted the need to include the story of their dispossession. She also communicated to the facilitator the need for the museum to include the stories of Palestinian Canadians. Canada’s Human Rights  museum is due to open in Winnipeg in 2012.

The project was endorsed and the first of the series will be offered after Parliament resumes, in October 2009.
