• NCCAR received documents requested from Public Safety Canada in November 2007 under the Access of Information Act "relating to negotiations with Israel toward the signing of a mutual cooperation agreement on homeland security" prior to November 2007. NCCAR is currently studying the documents released by Public Safety and is considering its options for a follow-up.

• NCCAR will be co-sponsoring with the Lebanese Canadian Heritage Association an event in Montreal to raise awareness and funds for a documentary-in-progress about Canadian movie pioneer Ameen Lawand, who helped establish the longest-lasting independent theatre chain in Montreal . • NCCAR made enquiries regarding a Canadian citizen who was denied re-entry into Israel and will follow-up on this issue.
