· NCCAR hosted a meeting on Thursday, November 13, 2008 with the delegation from Egypt's Al-Ahram Canadian University (ACU) led by its President, Dr. Farouq Ismail Ahmed who is touring Canada. Dr. Farouq is signing cooperation agreements with different Canadian Universities.  

· Samah Sabawi, NCCAR Board member, was a guest speaker on Wednesday, November 12, 2008 at a remembrance day gathering facilitated by the Global Partners and Church in Society Groups of Ottawa Presbytery.  Samah conducted a workshop titled “Listening For Peace”.

· Samah Sabawi, NCCAR Board member, published an article in Counterpunch on Friday, November 7, 2008 titled “Gaza's New Martyrs – Magda's Story”. The article can be found at this link:  http://www.counterpunch.org/sabawi11072008.html

· On November 5, 2008, NCCAR president Bahija Réghaï attended a luncheon offered by the Honourable Raynell Andreychuk, Senator, on behalf of the Minister of  Foreign Affairs, in honour of H.E. Hassam Mohammed Obaid Al Sowaidi, Dean  of the Arab Group and Ambassador of the UAE at Canadian Government Guest House.
