NCCAR E-ArabiCa - Week of December 2nd 2008
- A play adapted by NCCAR Board member Samah Sabawi from the book “Three Wishes: Palestinian and Israeli Children Speak” by acclaimed Canadian author Deborah Ellis, premieres tonight, December 2, 2008 at The Gladstone Theatre in Ottawa, Ontario. This original theatrical production brings to life the stories of Israeli and Palestinian children - honoring their words and offering a sobering glimpse into their disturbing reality. Directed by Alain Chamsi, the play concludes on Dec 13, 2008.
- NCCAR attended a conference (in French) organized by the Graduate school of Public and International Affairs, University of Ottawa, on November 27, 2008: Au-delà de la terreur et du martyre : l'avenir du Moyen-Orient , by Gilles Kepel, Professeur at Sciences Politiques, Paris, Directeur de la Chaire Moyen-Orient Méditerranée.
- NCCAR Vice-President Samer Roumani participated in the Arab Communities Round Table of Ottawa which was held on November 19, 2008.
- NCCAR President Bahija Réghaï and Vice-President Samer Roumani attended a Welcome Party offered by the National Press Club in honour of all the Members of the 40 th Parliament on November 18, 2008.
- NCCAR Vice-President Samer Roumani attended the Arab Canadian Women's Association's Annual Gala which was held on November 15, 2008.
· On November 16, 2008, NCCAR board member Samah Sabawi addressed the congregation of the Barhaven United Church on non-violent conflict resolution and peace building as part of the United Church's Listening for Peace series I.
- NCCAR attended the swearing ceremony on Parliament Hill of BQ Member of Parliament Meilli Faille which was held on November 14, 2008.
